Uh huh, really, it's just that. It depends. The answer is so simple that it seems silly that i've even asked.
What do i seek for in a career? If i know the answer to this question, then the answer to the first question is simply a given.
Regardless, no matter how big a fish is in a small pond, it's always limited by the size of the pond and can never outgrow it. Yet, to be in a big pond, the possibilities are endless.
Yes, the fish may remain small forever in the big pond full of other fishes. If so happens, then the fish is never good enough to start with anyway. So even if it can be a big fish by staying in the small pond, it's merely self-deceit because it will never get to know whether or not it can survive the bigger pond out there.
I think it's time to get my resume updated.
