Took unpaid leave today, as i figured that i should have more rest. But frankly, i didn't really take much rest over this CNY holidays. I've gone to bed every night later than 2pm.
Anyway, i didn't do much over CNY. Was watching online anime and TV. Perhaps the most fulfilling day for me was on the 3rd day of CNY, when the group of old friends have our yearly CNY gathering. During and after the gathering, i started to think about life and such. So you see, friends are good. They are like mirrors, reflecting upon ourselves; they have us pause and look at life, so that we won't lose ourselves in the flow of things day in day out.
During the gathering, Min announced her wedding day. We were all so happy for her. She has been with her boyfriend for over a decade. So many things had happened over all these years, and i'm glad that we are finally hearing the wedding bells. Sometimes it just makes you wonder if some people are simply meant for each other. No matter what difficulties there may arise, in the end the two will still be together. Perhaps this is what we called fate.
I guess everyone will be looking at me to be the next in line to get married. Luckily only one person had asked me the question over this CNY, but 贝 told me that he was bombarded by so many relatives and friends, and even his mom. Sigh, i guess when we come to our age, marriage is just a natural path to take.
贝 will only be back in JB on Wednesday, and in SG on Thursday. So i'll still have to commute to work by MRT. Should be sleeping early tonight, but i guess the many late nights have become a habit and i'm not feeling sleepy at all even now. Hmm, i wonder if the old fashion way of counting sheep will help...
