I woke up early today so that i could have breakfast with 贝 and to catch up on my blogging. I'll be on the 5pm flight later to TW. This time, i'll be there for 2 weeks; will only be back on 31-May, a Saturday. There isn't a morning flight on that day, so i'll be on the afternoon flight and will reached SG in the evening. Sigh, another wasted Saturday.
In fact, tomorrow is a public holiday here, but i'll be working like a dog in TW. The system is finally ready. If things go as planned, TW system will go live on Tuesday. So we will be doing the final preparation tomorrow. Yet again, i lost a day of public holiday, without any compensation in the form of day-off or pay. I think i've whined about this many times, but really, the HR policy sucks to the core.
Had been really busy for the past week, and hence the lack of blog update. Took leave on Friday, as 贝 wanna watch Malaysian playing Thomas Cup semi-finals (he said this would be the year that Malaysia wins the Thomas Cup again), and i also thought that i should take a good rest before the start of two weeks of craziness. But then, things didn't work out as expected. Our Malaysian players failed to perform and were defeated by China. I also gotta work the whole day at home even though i was on leave.
I was awaken by a sms from little boss in the morning, asking me to test out the system so that he could confirm the flight tickets. Then i started working immediately even without brushing my teeth. Then i was working through the whole day (past mid-night!), while watching the badminton game and downloaded TV shows. So it was as good as i didn't take leave at all.
Anyway, mom will be driving me to SG later. We plan to leave home at around 1pm, and that would give me plenty of time to get to the airport. Mom's new Avanza had arrived last week, and she seemed really happy. Well, i'm happy that she's happy. I just hope she can take good care of the car, which is something that she hasn't exactly done very well in the past.
