A few years ago when i just obtained my PR in Singapore, i'd tell the people that it was just for the CPF and the ease of changing jobs. I said i'd never give up my Malaysian citizenship.

Now, i know what it means by "never say never".

When an idiotic, racist, full-of-shit politician made a public statement that elicits racial tension and hatred, which is an outright violation of ISA, the government did not do anything about it except pointing fingers to the media in reporting the truth.

When Chinese newspapers reported facts that touches racial issues, they are under the scrutiny of ISA.

When the Indians voiced out their disgruntlement of being unfairly treated, they are detained under the ISA.

I am not a supporter of ISA.

Yet, if it is not to be abolished despite the calls from many parties, then it'd better apply to everyone, regardless of race, religion and political background.

When a law is only set up to regulate and restrict certain groups of people, while at the same time to be used for squashing dissents and crushing all contrary opinions, then the law is nothing but a discriminatory tool for those in power to oppress those who are powerless.

Do i see any hope for this beleaguered and falling country? Hardly.

I've had hope. I've had pride in being part of it.

Now, i'm just short of that one final snap to totally give it up.

Somehow, i fear that the snap is near.
