Day 10

Big boss was leaving on Thursday for New Zealand, and he would left the workshop to my subordinate and i to run.

After the workshop that day, they all wanted to have dinner with him. Two of us girls told them that we would not be joining them as we wanted to go shopping.

So after work, we went to the shopping nearby our hotel. I wanted to buy a pair of shoes from a shoes warehouse that we saw earlier.

I got myself a nice pair of shoes within the first half-an-hour, while my subordinate had a tough time getting one that could fit her because she has very small feet. She wears size 4, which is difficult to find even in SG/MY. I jokingly asked her to look at the kid's section, as it seemed that the smallest size for the adult section is size 5.

Anyway, she did manage to find one in the end, even though it didn't fit her exactly too. She said the shoes were actually still big for her, as there was still room at the front of the shoes.

We had fruits for dinner again that night.

Day 11

The Friday passed by quickly. Without big boss around, the workshop got a bit tougher because i wasn't able to control the participants to focus on one topic at a time. They often got off-track during discussion, and since all of them were of high post personnel, they did not really listen to me. My subordinate told me that her situation in the other track was even worse.

We went back to the hotel room rather early to get ready for the trip to Washington DC over the weekend. An internal contractual consultant from UK HQ joined our workshop since Tuesday and she was very keen in visiting Washington DC again. Her last visit there was during her internship in college, which as about 20 years ago.

Since i'd be driving and we did not have a GPS, we did some research on the map. We also placed booking for a room for one night at Courtyard Marriott, Tysons Corner, Virginia. Do not be fooled by the name of the hotel; it wasn't as expensive as it sounds.
