Yes, my old grandma, who is already more than 90 years old, was so happy with her very first grandchild getting married just last August. How could i possibly let her know the truth? She will be heart-broken, especially when i am her favourite grand-daughter.
She asked about YY everytime when she sees me. At first, i always answered with "he's working", but this cannot carry on. Then mom told her that YY was sent to Indonesia for 2 years and will not be back during this time. She believed it, of course, being uneducated and illiterate. She believes in everything we tell her.
I feel so bad that we need to lie to her, but it's better than telling her what happened. She does not have to know the ugly sides of things. She is so old now, and recently in bad health too, so i'd rather keep her happy with a white lie than to make her sad with the truth.
