Today i left the office an hour earlier with the intention of shopping at IMM. Actually i wanted to buy something else and wasn't really looking for the digital weighing scale as i didn't think i could really get one within my budget. Well, i was wrong. I was shopping at Watson for conditioner and Eye Mo when i suddenly saw there were digital weighing scales on sales! It was so much cheaper than the one that the No. 2 salesman in Singapore was selling:

The digital weighing scale was selling at S$19.90 only!
Ya, i know this one may not be as good and accurate as those sold in the fitness equipment shop, but i really didn't have the intention of getting one that was too expensive.
Here's how it looked like in package:

Here's without the packaging:

I even bought a 9V battery and was all ready to weigh myself.

So the first thing was to insert the battery. When i turned to the reverse side of the weighing scale, i noticed that there was an option for the weight measurement in KG and LB.
I opened the battery case and realized there was a free battery inside! Darn, i shouldn't have bought the Eveready.

I removed the plastic wrapper of the battery and connected the patch cable:

Being a person who always read and follow instructions, i put the weighing scale on the floor and lightly pressed the lower right corner with my right foot. Immediately i saw the "0.0" shown on the display.

Instructions printed at the back of the pakaging

Ah, the time has finally come... the time to see whether or not i've indeed put on weight as i've suspected. The result:

Huh, 54kg? How could it be? Even if take into consideration the tolerance and to err on the safe side, the most is still 55kg. This means that i didn't really put on weight at all!
Just then, i saw the old conventional weighing scale at the corner of the house and noticed that it was the same brand as this digital one.

The old conventional weighing scale
I suddenly remembered that i bought the conventional one from Watson as well. Just to check the accuracy of the conventional weighing scale vs. the digital weighing scale, i weighed myself again with the old conventional weighing scale.

Darn it, it was the same! I could have saved the S$19.90. Suddenly, i felt like an idiot.

Anyway, since i'm looking at my weight now, i might as well calculate my Body Mass Index (BMI). I'm about 1.65m tall. This means that my BMI is
55 ÷ (1.65 x 1.65) = 20.2
Oh yeah, my weight is normal! I'm not fat!

Now i can continue munching on those potato chips. Muaahaahaahaahaa...
