After a few weeks of silence, there was news about our company again. No wonder people say "no news is good news"... it was indeed so. A creditor is filing for winding up petition against the company, while we are still waiting for a white knight to rescue us. Everything in the newspaper about our company has been bad and depressing. The market observers are all very negative about the company's ability to turn around. It seems like the end is near -- really near. Most probably by the end of this month, we would have the final answer on whether we would live or die.
We are in a very sensitive situation now and thus i can't divulge too much. If the worst really happens, then maybe i'll get to relate a story about an employee who went through the fall of a listed company that was once a market darling. I've personally witnessed how a person's greed and selfishness ruined not only himself and his younger brother, but also destroyed the rice bowls of many people and implicated many others. Is money really the root of all evil? Well, i would say it's human nature that is capable of committing evil deeds.
