Big boss wanted to go for supper (or "lunch"), but i declined by telling him that i was still full. He had actually ordered pizza, which was delivered at around 11pm. We didn't touch it at all, and then he just put it into the fridge and wanted to eat out instead since the workshop concluded earlier. He said he would sms little boss to tell him to take the pizza as breakfast. Hmm, we do not have an oven or microwave in the company, so i wonder if he actually expects little boss to eat cold pizza for breakfast!
And i so wanted to order McD, but big boss seems to be reluctant and only wanted pizza. Gosh, i hope it's not pizza again tomorrow!
I was again tasked to come up with an Executive Summary for the workshop, and the target audience is all the big shots like CIO, CEO... So the document has to be concise and precise. Oh well, as expected, i know my role won't be as simple as just joining in the discussion and review the work of the vendor. Whenever there is a need to write anything, everyone in the department will always think of me as the perfect person to take on the task. Yes, i love writing, but not this kind of dull work-related document!
Big boss passed a comment about me yesterday though. He said i have much to learn about vendor management. He said when being used correctly, the vendor can be very helpful in getting the job done. I think he said that because of the disagreement in opinion i had with the vendor last week, whereby i did not agree with how certain things are to be done in the system. Well, that's me -- i always tell it like it is when it comes to vendors.
Big boss, on the other hand, is very good in using people to achieve his objectives. Of course, this also means that when a person is no longer useful, he/she will become very much dispensable. This statement means nothing malicious at all. I mean, after all, that's what make a person successful in the society i guess. That probably explains why i am just where i am today.
So my plan for tomorrow -- will be sleeping at 8am, waking up at 4pm, and get in to office by 6pm. Hope we can complete the workshop tomorrow earlier than scheduled as well.
