Unenjoyable movie

Reached home in JB at around 11pm yesterday and went to bed really late. I'm so tired now. TGIF!

So, about the movie last night. Let's just say that i'm glad we didn't have to pay for the tickets because it wouldn't have worth the money. Uh huh, i didn't like it.

Well, there were of course things that i like about the movie, such as the new Superman costume, with the leather-like cape and all. I liked the little kid (Lois' son) too. He's so adorable that every time his face was shown on the screen, my heart would just go "awww...".

Brandon Routh, being the new Superman, resembled Christopher Reeve very much, but only younger and more handsome. Yet, too much of those "hey, look how handsome/macho i am" scenes kinda killed the chemistry. And i also thought there was a tad too much of sentimental scenes rather than actions.

Anyway, thanks to Micro$oft, this is the first time i got to be so up-close and personal with the man of steel. Our seats were in the second row from the front and we were only about 3 meter away from the screen. It sure was one unforgettable experience. I had never been this close to the big screen before, you know, so close that i had to move my head to follow the characters on screen, that i could read the words on the pages when the camera closed up to the book that Kevin Spacey was reading, and that i got a nauseous feeling when it showed Superman flying, or rather, whenever there was a scene in quick motion. Oh, and let's not forget about the sore neck after the freaking 2.5-hour movie was over.

By the way, we only got to know at the cinema that the screening yesterday was solely for Micro$oft. They had reserved three cinema theatres and distributed the tickets to their customers (such as the company 贝 works at). And in the email to their customers, it was written "The Premiere of Superman Returns", but i realized that the movie actually opened on Wednesday, so it wasn't really a premiere.

Oh well, the tickets were free, so i shouldn't be complaining. But please, if there's any more such (screen-)in-your-face kind of free tickets, thanks but no thanks, i'll rather pass.

yah, i have no heart to spoil your movie before it spoils itself for you.

that movie really sucks big time.

Aiya, you should at least drop me a hint, so that i wouldn't put my hope so high and then the subsequent great disappointment.

A lousy movie indeed.

PinPin, I agree with you about the movie. All remakes are dzvlzvbvv...

kinds regards, from Barcelona!!
