So i carried out my plan by first calling the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore, asking for help to obtain the information on car ownership. I called in the morning and was told to leave my contact number so that a person-in-charge could call me later.
I waited till noon time and my phone didn't even ring once. I called again and this time was told that LTA only provides the name of the insurance company that insures the specific vehicle, and not the name of the owner. This piece of information that isn't so useful to me doesn't come free either. I would have to pay for it through LTA Web site.
Darn, i should have known. This is not the US. In this part of the world, vehicle ownership information is not accessible by the public, and everything comes with a price. I figured that it's pointless to pay for something that may not even serve my purpose, and so just like that, my plan was foiled.
Then this morning, i saw the same truck again at the same place where i dropped off 贝. I reckon i would be seeing it everyday since it would be picking up the foreign workers at the same place and about the same time everyday. The most frustrating part was that even though i saw that asshole again, there was actually nothing i could do to him at all. I could, of course, go up to him and give him a piece of my mind, but then what good would it be except making myself angrier since apparently this asshole is an unreasonable person who will never think that he's wrong.
Anyway, i had fixed my car bumper and it didn't cost anything. I guess i should just let this matter rest since no actual damage was done except my Monday morning was spoilt, and dwelling on it would definitely spoil my days further.
