Oh wow, there goes another year.
It's scary, to say the least. Looking into the mirror and seeing myself ageing day-by-day, to say that i feel no fear would be a lie.
Not sure what have i done for the year 2007, other than reading comics. I know that i've achieved none of what i had planned to do for the year, but amidst the misses, i did gain some along the way.
January
- Had my firstcupping therapy due to the sprain on my hand.
- Moved to the east side in my previous job and travelled half a Singapore everyday by commuting between JB to SG
- Received a token of appreciation that worth SGD500 for helping out in the opening of the new store
- Knew from a friend that my ex-boyfriend got married
February
- Turn thirty-two and received a bouquet of flowers from 贝 for the first time.
- 贝 found a new job with more than 55% increase in pay.
March
- Our then less than 6-month old car was leaking engine old and needed to have its cylinder changed.
- Ex-company sufferred from a computer virus outbreak and everyone in the department worked extended hours to clean up the virus
- Was sent to attend a middle management retreat at Sentosa for two days
April
- Moved to a rented flat in SG
- Went to watch the Asian Badminton Championship 2007 at the Stadium Bandaraya Johor Bahru again
- Was graded as Commendable and received a good review in my confirmation appraisal
May
- Being busy at work for the final stage of system implementation. After a postponment and going 30 hours without sleep, the system was finally live.
June
- Encountered system problems one after another
- Starting to feel the frustration at work due to the undesirable working attitude of fellow colleagues
- This blog turned two years old
July
- Went to KL for a business trip to help out in resolving the system problem
- Received the pay increment letter from ex-boss
- Participated in the The 8th Foon Yew Treasure Hunt that brought us to Negeri Sembilan and our team won the 13th prize
August
- Started my hunt for a new job
- Sat for a Navision certification and passed with high marks
- Became a victim of credit card fraud
- Participated in the Kiwanis Sentosa Treasure Hunt 2007 and our team badly
September
- Had a blast at the Annual Dinner and Dance of my previous company
- Felt the tremour from the Indonesia earthquake in SG
- Had a pact with 贝 to stay off junk food for a month
- Set up another password protected blog for posting some private stuff
- Received my ITIL certificate and was officially certified
October
- Went to a job interview and was offered the job. Had the most difficult resignation of my life
- Participated in the BLIA Treasure Hunt on Wheels and our team won the 3rd place
- Bought a new mobile phone, my very first Sony Ericsson
November
- Became the victim of credit card fraud again, and again
- Bought a sewing machine at staff price before leaving the previous company
- Left my first and probably last job in a retail company
- Went to KL for the Chinese book fair and didn't buy a single book, but did enjoy the shopping and bought lots of clothes
December
- Started the new job
- Was sent on business trip to Taipei and Hong Kong
- Received a fabulous Christmas gift from 贝
- Had a great time meeting up with old friend just before the end of the year
Well, the sound of fireworks can be heard from afar. Just minutes before the new year, i'm sitting in my room in JB, looking back at what i had done for the year. I still count my blessings that i'm here, well and able, and so are my loved ones.
